Glengoyne 18 Years Old is a rich and luxurious Highland single malt that has been matured in a mix of refill sherry casks and a generous portion of first-fill sherry casks. This expression comes at 43% abv.
The nose has a medley of fruity flavours with fresh bananas, ripe melon and red apples. The palate has a rich and velvety mouthfeel, with notes of vanilla fruit, marzipan and walnuts, making way for warm spices, dry cocoa and lingering Seville marmalade.

Upon opening the bottle, I was ready for the experience. Definitely needed to let the pour breathe before tasting it as the alcohol is strong on the initial pour. After about 2 minutes got hints of caramel and vanilla. Great bourbon, not really smoky due to what I figure to be how it’s aged in wine barrels. Definitely will buy again
