Character of Islay Bunnahabhain 10 Year Old Wind & Waves 2 Description
This rare single malt is a reflection of its remote coastal location. This single cask expression arrives from the Bunnahabhain Distillery on Islay. It dwelt at this distillery for 10 years, before The Character of Islay Whisky Company took it in and released it as part of The Stories of Wind & Wave series. This series is designed to showcase exceptional Islay Whisky that reflects the rugged, dramatic coastline and history of the island. It is a 2008 vintage, that was bottled in 2021, coming it at a cask strength 50.1% abv. It is free from chill-filtration and has a natural, cask-imparted colour.
On the nose is porridge, sweet honey, pinecones, and a little dried spice. The palate is one of nutty, oaky sweetness. The finish is luxuriously long, with salted caramel, toasted cedar, and walnut whip. Get your hands on this limited release whilst you can.
